On January 3, 2009, Apl.de Ap was back in the Philippines debuting the first single from his first upcoming album on the internationally broadcast Philippine variety/game show Wowowee. Apl has chosen Billy Crawford to collaborate on the song called: U CAN DREAM.
Do you remember Camile Velasco, one of the finalists on the third season American Idol. Well Anyways, on October 14, 2008 was the release of her first single through iTunes called Guava Jelly (Featuring Stephen Marley). She had the opportunity to go to Kingston Jamaica to work with the Marley’s. She was at the Bob Marley house recording with his sons. Only 2 foot ‘9 inches tall, Weng Weng fights crime in the Phillippines as Agent 00. The Guiness Book of World Records lists him as the tiniest actor in movie history.Weng Weng had an active film career in the 1970s and the 1980s, but had not had a major acting role for several years prior to his death in 1992 due to a heart attack (aged 34).
Weng Weng’s online recognition grew in April 2007 with the release of the Weng Weng Rap video by The Chuds and John R of R Room. This was eventually picked up by AustralianmusicforumFasterlouder.com.au, making Weng Weng a popular meme amongst members.
