Q: Tell us a little about yourself: Where were you born? Where did you grow up? Hobbies & favorite pastimes?
A: I was born in Heidelberg, Germany! And was raised in Hawaii, on the Island of Oahu, city of Honolulu, in a place called Salt Lake. Foster Village to be exact. Lately, I find myself meditating more than usual. Visualizing my next move and capturing that in thought then manifesting it! I wouldn’t call it a hobby.. more or less it’s just my thing I’ve been doing lately to keep me focused. I love to do it!
Driven to prove that Hawaii has a thriving hip-hop community, Hype 5-0 is out to show there is more to Hawaii than swaying grass skirts and coconut bras. With limited funds for travel, Hype 5-0 has honed their skills by spending countless hours on the Internet studying crews from the mainland. Now after conquering the island dance scene with imported moves this hard-hitting crew is ready to export themselves to the mainland and take the ‘ABDC’ stage by storm.
Newly-crowned IBF light flyweight champion Brian Viloria will defend his title on August 29 at Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii against Jesus Iribe of Mexico.
The Hawaiian Punch returns to fight in Honolulu after an absence of over 6 years. He will go against Jesus “Azul” Iribe of Mexico, who hasn’t lost a fight since 2007. Iribe is the current Federation of Boxing Commissions (Fecombox) light flyweight champion and ranked in the top 20 by the IBF.
Viloria has a record of 25 wins, 2 losses and 15 knockouts while, Iribe has a record of 15 wins, 5 losses and 5 knockout.
