Mic3 Balikbayan Remix

“Balikbayan” Remix
Written by Mic3
Produced by Verse One Productions/Thurst 4 Worst

Have you ever wondered why there’s so many Filipino’s in Hawai’i? Or why they say it’s the melting pot of the Pacific? Well Mic3 tries to capture that with this Remix of “Balikbayan”. The original version was through the production of Audible Labrats; (DJ Skid, Nomadd) which had a raw grainy, vintage sound. This new mix produced by Thurst 4 Worst Production (Ely M.) has a more warlike, tough sounding appeal to it. Very catchy in its message, noting the farmer turned soldier depiction, and explained some of the lost and forgotten historical events of the Filipinos that were before coming to Hawai’i and after that time. Its unbelievable how 15 sakadas came to one of this island chain and created a chain reaction of millions.

This track was mixed down and mastered at Verse One Productions by
Bryan Sanchez of First Verse
